It is never too late. Age fades people but it should never truly take their spirit. It is never too late to chase a dream. It is never too late to aspire. People grow old but they do not become powerless. Indeed, time weakens the body, but it brings also experience, which generates wisdom. The insight gathered through life should not be wasted by neglecting to pursue goals simply because a person is no longer youthful. Those who have aged can still be eager, passionate, and unwavering. Though they have been "made weak by time and fate [they remain] strong in will" (Tennyson, line 69). All people must listen to their souls and follow their hearts in order to live a life of which they will be proud. People must not give up on their dreams.

It is always difficult to follow a dream. There is always fear. An old man who, dissatisfied with his job, returns to university long after he has graduated high school is brave. A woman who, at eighty-five years old, decides to learn a new language because it is something she has always longed to do, is truly admirable. And an old hero, who endeavors to complete a noble task, rather than live idly and unhappily, is worthy of praise.

Ulysses is worthy of this praise. He realizes he is uninspired living an inactive life and would be bettered if he returned to action: "How dull it is to pause, to make an end / to rest unburnish'd, not to shine in use" (Tennyson, lines 22-23). Adventure is calling him and, though he is old, he should still attempt to achieve his desires.
