For making my design I started with a geoboard. I wanted to make a design that had rotational, reflectional and translational symmetry. First of all I made a square and put another square on top. Then I connected diagonal lines from the edges to the closest corners. My design has translational symmetry because translation means stamp. It also has rotational symmetry because if you turn it 180 it would be the same. It has reflectional symmetry only in shape but not ion colour. Justin |
