the support of the Galileo Network teachers and students at Dr. Morris
Gibson School have been learning to work in an inquiry based environment

Grade 2/3 students of Dr. Morris Gibson, with the assistance of members
of the community and with the assistance of two Master of Teaching students
in the Integration
Technology Special Topics class at the University
of Calgary entered the Grassroots
Communities@ca competition called Heritage

to Answers in Different Ways
Coming
to Answers in Different Ways is an on-line collaborative mathematics
project.
Literacy

The A telecollaborative
project interpreting works of Egyptian and Inuit art and cultural artifacts.
Through their work with Franklin Heisler of the Glenbow Museum, they wish
to share, develop and diversify their communication skills by creating
and responding to works of art in their Literacy

An exploration of Hieroglyphics and other
types of writing.
Partner-Ship
Students
from grade 2, 3, 4, and 5 worked collaboratively on Partner-Ship,
a project where students work in small groups to investigate flotation,
robotics, researching and representing using puppets all around shipbuilding.
Symmetry
Students
from Grade 2/3 were involved in a study exploring rigid transformations
