The Family Pictures
Following is a story by a student from the 2/3 classrooms at Dr. Morris Gibson Elementary school.  This artifact belongs to the family of the author, however it could have been found in the Mahon House in the past.

The picture in the wooden frame is my Mom's family. I've always wondered where this picture was taken. I don't know where they lived exactly, but I know it was somewhere in Ontario. The picture in the white frame is of an Indian Princess named Julia. Every time I look at this picture, I am happy that I have a few drops of Indian blood. I wish I could have more Indian blood.

These pictures are very old. They are black and white and the people in them are dressed very differently from how we dress today. All the men have little mustaches and the woman have long sleeved dresses. If a family picture were taken today, our clothes would look very different. I would wear my church clothes and my Dad would probably wear a nice sweater. All of us would have different fabrics than the ones in these pictures.
