ARDIEL HOUSE

PAST
ARDIEL HOUSE
IN THE
PRESENT

Following are the reflections of two students from the 2/3 classrooms at Dr. Morris Gibson Elementary school after visiting the Ardiel House and envisioning what it might look like in the future:

We think that in the year 2013 the Ardiel House will have a lot of changes.   Between 2001 and 2013 there are a lot of changes that happen everywhere.  We will not be nine years old we will be 22.  We will have changed a lot so we think the house will change a lot too.
In the future we think that the Ardiel house will have a chimney made out of gray stones.  These will come from the river.  We think that it will still have the same porch that comes out of the upstairs bedroom but it will have different designs.  We think it will only have one set of steps going up to the door.   The house will look more or less the same on the outside but the inside will be quite different.
Our prediction for the future is that we think it will still be a gift store. It might have modern gifts such as; mirrors like on Snow White, that you can buy to see the future through.  Computer necklaces and bracelets that you can type on and phones that will be rings.  Watches that would tell us what we will be when we grow up. There will be nail polish that you can paint on, then talk too to request the color you want.  That means you could change the color twelve times a day.  You can only get this wonderful polish at the Ardiel House in Okotoks.  The store will have a special type of shampoo that will make your hair grow or shrink over night.  If you have runners you could buy special laces that you could tell to run or walk and they will make your body obey.  There will be special floor mats that you could buy that will take you to where you want to go by just giving the command.  All these wonderful things you will be able to buy at the Ardiel House in Okotoks in 2013.
