Consider your interests in China.  Ask yourself what you would like to learn more about or maybe there is a role that will help you share the expertise you already have.  You be the judge.   Once you have determined this, choose a role that will help you further your interest in this exciting country.  Remember your group must use consensus planning so that all the roles are covered and each group member is satisfied with his/her role.
