Kurtis asks: I am studying elephants and I want to know why hunters are killing elephants?

Kurtis says: I drew an elephant because I like elephants. The elephant is an endangered species.

Ms R-M replies: Dear Kurtis, I like elephants, too. Did you know that some researchers have observed elephants showing affection and loyalty to each other. Older calves will help younger siblings. Grown elephants will help sick or wounded elepants in their herds. I wonder what impact it would have on a herd, if a member was killed. Ms. R-M
