Ms. R-M replied: Hi Kelly. I wonder what makes people think that snow leopards are more mean than any other animal. Sometimes the stories that we tell one another about animals are more of a reflection of what people think instead of what people know. Do you remember the conversation about "The Jabberwocky". Some people think that the author, Lewis Carroll, was talking about wolves when he wrote that poem. When we looked at the habits of real wolves we discovered that they are not nearly as scarey or mean as some stories make us think that they are. I wonder if that would also be the same sort of thing with Snow Leopards. Ms. R-M
